Washington 2015 2015: Day 33

Getting ready to go!
On day 33, we got up bright and early. We were all happy to be alive and excited to catch the early shuttle into Stehekin. It was a short 5 miles to high bridge, where a bus shuttles to and from Stehekin many times each day. Here, we relaxed and waited. It was nice to lay down for a while and stop using my legs for a bit!

Yaay! Another recreational area!

The shuttle dropped us off at the bakery first. Here we each ate multiple meals worth of amazing fresh-baked goods! It was a cool day in the shade and continued to treat ourselves to rest. I was soon starting to feel pretty stiff and sore!

Yummy!
After eating our delicious foods, we headed the rest of the way into town and secured campsites. When I say "we" I mean Laura and I, team Minnesota, and Giggles. We relaxed for hours and hobbled around town in sandals. While relaxing at the general store, we were joined by the rest of the hikers in our camping group at the Suiattle river. They were the last to hike through the valley before the trail was officially closed! We were even joined by Max and Alli, who Laura and I had been running into for about 200 miles! We all pitched in with food and had a great arrival party, swapping stories until way past bed-time!
