We left this Dinsmore's for Stevens Pass on the morning of the 27th day excited to get back on the trial. We were now most of the way across Washington, with only one more supply stop before the border! Alli and Max hiked with us.

| Hello, Northern Cascades! |
We set off and quickly arrived at Lake Valhalla, where I took a nice dip in the lake while others rested. We continued on till Janus Lake, where we set up camp. Here, we hung out with Max and Alli as well as a group of three young guys we called "team Minnesota". They were all friends from high school and were going on an adventure before leaving home for different colleges. Being from Minnesota, they had packed fishing equipment and they tried to catch fish for dinner. It proved rather difficult in the shallow water on our side of the lake but it was entertaining!

We had hiked about 10 miles this day and we had a good sleep, though it is never easy to go back to sleeping on the ground!
